Would you like to live in a neighborhood, where you know those who live nearby? Would you like to know whom you can rely on or be a source of support for neighbors in need? Do you wish your neighbors would pass your house and say, "Jesus Christ is in that home; He is in that family"? The Neighborhood Groups of Zion (NGZ) is made up of Christians who long for those very things.
With most of us from Jackson County MO, members are meeting and working together to purify their hearts, and build-up more Godly homes and neighborhoods in what we call "the land of Zion." Our preparations don't stop there, however, as our teaching, mentoring and sharing together is intended to forge new relationships, build up neighborhood support networks, and encourage community involvement and resilience in the face of challenges marking the landscape where we live.
If you're a first-time visitor, we hope you'll come on in and look around. Since we're a new website, we expect to grow greatly throughout the latter part of 2012. We hope you'll come back again and again, as we hope to add things like short "how to" videos, preparedness checklists, quick-start guides, and printable study resources that support our mission. Check out our calendar, which lists upcoming meeting, training and special event dates in one of the neighborhoods of Zion, or learn more about how to get involved.
May the Lord bless you richly as you endeavor to uphold Godly principles in the neighborhood where you live!
Our mission is to establish a cohesive network of Saints who are actively engaged in fortifying the land of Zion to be prepared in all things, loving one another as the Lord commands.
We will do this by strengthening each home and heart to become part of a close-knit neighborhood that works together to withstand economic hardship, moral decay, natural disasters, political unrest and threat of war.
By responding to God's voice of warning and acting as His hands and feet, we will stand independent of Babylon, prepared for the gathering of the righteous and relying on one another and the mercies of God, as the Lord creates in us a people of one heart and one mind.
